Josh McGinnis (he/him) is a queer Durham-based realtor who specializes in helping LGBTQ+ folks and allies find home in North Carolina. As a proud member of the community, Josh understands how personal—and sometimes vulnerable—the home buying process can be, especially for queer and trans folks. Over time, I’ve discovered a deep passion for meeting people and understanding what brings them to life. I am fascinated by the diversity of perspectives and experiences people can hold. As I traveled from city to city after college, I realized that I felt the most at home in Durham. Since being here, I have come alive in so many ways, and as a queer man from the South, it is amazing to be a part of such a welcoming and inclusive LGBTQ+ community in my city.
As your real estate agent, I understand what it’s like to move, to find new communities, and to build a life in a new city. I’ve felt the stress, the fear, the excitement, and the joy. That’s why I began working in real estate -- so that I could help others with one of life’s most monumental moments: finding a place to settle in and make your home.
